We're Here Alone.

This dog has quite the story. He's unique, different from the other dogs at the shelter, just look at his eyes, and those markings. We call him a variety things, Hyena, Skye High, Leaper, people who don't know him tend to call him Demon.

But his real name is Roamer and he was called that for a reason. This dog took two months to capture. He wasn't feral, but he was scared and he was fast. When the first person caught him and brought him to our shelter she let him out of her car without a leash and he bolted down the street. Animal Control chased him, but he was long gone. He was gone for about a month, many of the staff including myself saw him plenty of times on the streets and tried multiple times to catch him, but never could. Another month passed and someone had caught him, we got him into a kennel and after four days let him into the yard for some fresh air. Little did we know the dog could clear seven feet. He soared over out fence like it was nothing and was gone again. Finally, we caught him, kept him from the yard for a bit, got a zipline and let him in the yard on the line with supervision. Now even off the line he stays with us and he has made a complete turn around. Roamer still hasn't found his forever home, but we know this gorgeous boy will find it very soon.
